The 2011 World Superbike Championship's second round will happen at Donington coming weekend, and Yamaha World Superbike Team will look to improvise with their rookie riders- Marco Melandri and Eugene Laverty who have been performing exceedingly well.
The first round of 2011 World Superbike Championship happened a month ago, and Italian Superbike Rookie Melandri pulled off a stunning performance. Fighting against the reigning champion Max Biaggi, Melandri finally got his maiden podium for the championship.
The opening round in Australia featured these two rookie drivers of Yamaha proving their worth. They will now desire to do the same when they star in the second round taking place in UK. Yamaha faced an injury scare with Melandri, but he has been given all clear after shoulder scans revealed nothing. The second round promises to be a very interesting one with Melandri in third position with 27 points, and his teammate in ninth position, 13 points behind Melandri.
